# How to join a Private Server?

1. Open the console ([Click here](/questions/how-do-i-open-console.md))
2. Enter the Password like `password mysecurepa$$word123` 
3. Open the server overlay (F10) and type your server's name in the search bar, it'll take a few seconds to show up. \
   Once it does, just click on your server.\
   \
   **OR**\
   Via Console: `connect ip:port` 

You have to do these steps every time you open bo2 or every time want to play on your server
